[Ramkumar Ramachandra]

I'm Ramkumar, a 20 year old full-time student at IIT Kharagpur. I've been involved with Open Coffee Club Kolkata, BarCamp Kolkata, Startup Saturday Kolkata, and Startup Saturday Mumbai in the past. Although my permanent residence is in Chennai, I rarely drop in here.

While my favorite languages are Python, Javascript and Common Lisp, I'm mostly involved with software engineering in Python. I edit all my code in Emacs and version everything using Git. My favorite database backends are PostgreSQL and CouchDB. I'm passionate about free software and GNU/ Linux.

In 2008, I worked with a Mumbai-based startup oCricket, which involved software/ database design using Python and Django's ORM, as well as core Javascript functionality implemented in jQuery. I helped host it on a traditional server, as well as move it out to Amazon EC2 and S3 at a later stage.
