Interest -- Angel Investor

My basic academic qualification is a B.Tech in Electronics Engineering, followed by Post Graduation from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA).

Post IIMA, I worked the first 6 years in Marketing (with 3 promotions), and then 3 years as a Profit Centre Head in a Turnaround assignment (2 promotions). Subsequent to this, I worked at successively more senior levels (as CEO / MD / Group CEO), until the entrepreneurial bug bit me and I struck out on my own.

My initial venture has stabilised very well and generates positive PAT as well as healthy Cash flow. I am therefore now focusing on a different field -- investing in Startups (but can look at mature-stage companies on a case-by-case basis). In this endeavour, I have a group of Associates who are also HNW individuals.

We generally prefer a passive, pure investment role. There are no strictly delineated Technological Sector preferences or Geographical limitations.

OCC members (and non-OCC entrepreneurs as well !!) are most welcome to contact me for a discussion over a cup of tea (oops, a cup of coffee – since this is the “OpenCoffee Club" forum, after all).

Whatever may be the final outcome as regards our interest in a funding association with your venture, I can certainly promise a quick turnaround time (from initial contact to final decision) in most, if not all, cases. And also, a possible value-add to your business plans/perspectives in case I can contribute any fresh insights.

I give a lot of importance to intricacies in software design and good visualization ; bad design disappoints me (and hence, you would have guessed that - i give a lot of importance to applications built using core CS concepts and addressing the industry)
