I am considering using Paypal as the only means of payment for our users, who will be largely based out of India. Setting up Paypal on your site seems to be trivial.

I'm trying to find out what regulations there are in India regarding accepting such payments from international customers. Do you have to get special approval from the government? Are there issues, gotchas etc that I should be aware of?

I'd be grateful for any feedback from people who are already doing this.

Thanks Bala. You can write to me at abhi AT nunook DOT com.

If there is information you don't mind sharing on this forum, that would be good as well.

Hi Abhijeet, you can absolutely accept payments of your users through paypal. But, in which currency do you want finally your money to be ? USD or INR ? If that is INR, you can probably choose someother way (cheaper) to do the same. If this is going to be in USD, paypal is one of the best. Thanks.
