I am a new member. For the first few meetups, I would like to be physically participate in the meetings.
I would like to know
1. Regularity of the meetings - "Normally we meet on second saturday of every month unless otherwise decided"
2. If the meetings are not a regular feature as yet
2.1 I would like to participate in the rollcall for the meetups. This I presume I would do by answering an e-mail saying that I would be there.
2.2 I would like to get announcement mails or rss feeds - "It is decided that we meet on ... at ... . X number of members have confirmed their presence".
I am interested in 2.1 and 2.2 only and not in other posts - blog or email.
For those of you familiar with open source communities, there is typically an announce list that only the admin or owner has access to. I am looking for something along similar lines. Less spam and more content.
We meet first sunday of the month. There is no roll call or anything. You just turn up for the meeting. You would have got an email announcement for the meeting. If not, it is at 4pm near skating rink at besant nagar beach.
