Hi Shruti,
Great Idea. I am sure there will be a lot of enthusiasm from the group. It will be great if you can come to the OCC meet on Sunday and talk about it as well. You may get a lot of questions and suggestions.

From a small entrepreneur point of view, it will be great if you can cover the following topics as well:

Marketing on a low budget
Web based Marketing
Lead Generation, Pruning (recommended practices)
Marketing Tools (both free and commercial)

If part of the event (or a parallel track) can be made in unconference format, some of the marketing experts on this forum may be able to share their experiences as well.

I agree with Dorai. Indians are generally termed to be less 'Marketing' savvy and more techie in Nature when compared to Americans. We need to improve on that. Give us more details on this session.

1. Is this going to be part of CII?
2. Is this marketing in general? If yes, it would be appropriate to have tech focused Marketing session too!

This should be really useful for people like me. We are fully self-funded. And we dont have a big budget for marketing. We have to explore creative options as far as marketing goes especially when you dont have big bucks to advertise yourself.

And mr. Dorai has already suggested some great topics
Marketing on a low budget
Web based Marketing

It would be really great to hear from the experts!

Thanks for choosing a good topic…

Consumer understanding :

Today , there is a huge gap between consumer requirements and understanding . This is mainly due to wrong interpretation by the analyzer / presenter. This is one of the reasons many product campaigns have been filed during first stage itself..

Marketing costs :

Toady managing cost of the marketing expenses is a challenge .. Indian service industry has innovated many new ideas in this route . Today major share of profits comes from service and less cost on marketing .Making every activity as a productive and using and sharing information by all departments will help to minimize costs.. This is the Mnatra

Bottom of the Pyramid :

The ultimate bottom of the pyramid is the effectiveness of the activity ….Low cost high returns of the plans….

Hope the above will through some light on the topic to move forward..

Good day…

hi shruthi,

interesting topic to debate. we are basically web design and branding firm called uthiti. www.uthiti.com
we address all this issues when we serve the clients in chennai.
we become more cautious and accountable when we suggest web marketing for our clients.
