I am an old member but new to discussions. we developed a Concept based website www.rentitindia.com. What i am looking from you is the FEEDBACK and comments.
hope you will be giving some good feedback to improve our Startup.
The concept is good. Is there anything beyond front page? I randomly clicked on a few and all I got was "Oops! No items". It is very difficult to provide useful feedback on a product based on one page with graphics.
Thanks for your time to review our web and for your comments at first. Yes you can see Oops for most of the pages as we didnt started our Marketing part still. We are at the Pre launch stage.I will buzz you once we launch it.
The concept is good. The website is beautifully designed and menu driven. If all the data are filled, it will still be more useful to all the needy people. Best of Luck.
Send me a private mail or ping me on skype (my id is dorait) and I will give you more suggestions. A lot of these depend on your target audience. We can discuss some typical use cases.
I think this service can not only be used by Indian customers (traveling between cities) but also people coming from outside the country for a few weeks to few months stay.
There are several types of target customers for this site and a discussion of them and choosing one or two to start with may help you a lot.
Will be happy to brainstorm and share what you know. I personally think you may want to try slightly different user interfaces (the current one may not scale when the categories increase but may be enough as a starting point).
As a fellow OCC member, will be happy to spend an hour or two just chatting and brainstorming. I think it is a useful service and if it is operational, I would use it today. I know a couple of others who may use it on a regular basis as well.
As many people have already said 'The concept is good'. However, the quality of the website from data and UX (user experience) can be improved. As Dorai suggested it might be worth for you spend time with veterans like Dorai who are passionate in helping startups succeed. I would also like to join if you are planning to meet up with Dorai.
